Priority for registration

Priority for registration will be given to those who have not previously performed the Hajj, which is a mandatory religious duty for Muslims and one of the five pillars of Islam. The Hajj season is expected to begin on June 26, 2023. In 2019, before the pandemic, approximately 2.6 million people performed the Hajj. In the following two years, the Saudi government limited the number of residents who could participate and welcomed back one million foreign pilgrims in 2022, but only those aged 18 to 65 who were fully vaccinated or had immunity to COVID-19 and did not suffer from chronic illness were permitted to take part
